Selected artworks from the collection of the International Biennale of Glass

UniArt Gallery presents an exhibition of selected works from the collection of the International Glass Biennale, which will open on March 10, 2025 at 18:00

The International Biennale of Glass, created in 2017 by artist Konstantin Valchev – founder of the Glass Studio at the New Bulgarian University and a graduate of the world-renowned Stanislav Libensky, is the culmination of his long-standing dedication to the development of glass as a contemporary art medium. Over the years, the Biennale has established itself as an international platform, bringing together emerging talents and established artists under the motto "Together". This event also brings together educators, researchers and specialists in the field of glass, creating a space for the exchange of ideas and innovations in art.

The Biennale’s collection includes over 250 unique works that reflect not only the aesthetic pursuits of contemporary artists, but also the techniques and concepts that shape the future of glass as a medium. The selected works exhibited at UniArt Gallery create a  long-lasting impression with their diversity and innovation, showing a wide range of approaches – from abstraction to realism, from classical techniques to novel experiments.

This exhibition is not only an opportunity to become acquainted with part of the contemporary artistic scene focused on glass artworks, but also a journey that reveals the development of this art in Bulgaria and around the world.
